Hey!
My name is Will Anderson and I am a sophomore Biology major with a Chemistry minor and a concentration in Biochemistry. After college I hope to attend the Emory University School of Medicine to get my Doctor of Medicine degree and specialize in Emergency Medicine. Sometime after medical school, I hope to attend the Emory Rollins School of Public Health to earn my Masters in Public Health degree. I have always loved science, and learning more about what the natural world has to offer!
My uncle was a PhD botanist by trade and worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers around the Mobile River Delta in Mobile, Alabama. I visited him as often as I could. I loved learning about different species of plants in that area and basic floral morphological structures that would get me a leg up in some of my college biology courses. I am extremely excited to be taking this GC2Y course and cannot wait to see what the Bahamas has to offer!
I shoot on the Georgia College Clay Targets Team and in my free time I compete on the national level. I would love to shoot for Team USA in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. I have several friends, mentors, and coaches who are currently active on Team USA. I have also been lucky enough to have received several official invites to shoot with the Team in Colorado Springs at the US Olympic Training Facility.
